"I prepared for the marathon in Kenya and I prepared for everything else in Flagstaff, and I think if I had to do a 10km race last year after coming back from Kenya, it would have been bad, because it was impossible to do any speed workout, the altitude was higher than in Flagstaff, 300m higher at 2.4km altitude, and every day felt like dying. I ran 4:30/km pace - you have seen my usual pace doing long runs!"
